Harvey Industrial
This was an area of heavy industry. It consisted of a variety of buildings primarily relating to the automotive industry, along with a scrap yard. The area was adjacent to the Pawlus Roundhouse and the Empire Oil Refinery, all served by short spurs. It covered more than 100 square feet, so hidden access hatches were installed under removable buildings. This area was never completed. Many of the buildings have now been installed on new modules for our modular layout.
Looking north through this area. As you can see, many of the buildings are now finished. The next step is to finish the paving and lighting. This area was primarily devoted to the automotive industry. A number of industrial spurs serve this area. |
Another view of Harvey looking east. Modern as well as older buildings are throughout this area. Truck, as well as rail traffic dominate the activity in this area. |
